Conversion to Selection Forestry

This set of diagrams shows the conversion of a stand from 'La Joux Pelichet', which was planted in 1900. This example has been taken from a publication of the Silvicultural Principles of the Kanton Neuenburg in Switzerland. Red X's show trees that were harvested and smaller black x's show trees that were harvested as a result of storm damage or other causes outside of the planned harvest volume. After 2000 the rest of the diagrams are based on the long experiance in the Kanton Neuenburg in Switzerland with selection forestry.
